The Hornady Lock-N-Load Bench Rest Metering Insert (No. 050114) is the precision metering assembly designed for use with the Hornady Lock-N-Load Bench Rest Grade Powder Measure. The assembly — comprising the nickel-plated rotor, sleeve and micrometer thimble — swaps in and out of the powder measure body with a single push of a button, making it straightforward to switch between charge configurations without draining the hopper. The built-in micrometer lets the reloader make fine, repeatable incremental adjustments to powder charge weight and dial back to a previously confirmed setting with confidence. This is the unit to reach for when bench rest accuracy demands are highest: the closely fitted rotor and housing keep charge-to-charge variation to a minimum, while the micrometer gives a positive reference point for every adjustment. Compatible exclusively with the Hornady Lock-N-Load Bench Rest Grade Powder Measure — not the standard Lock-N-Load Powder Measure. Charges should always be verified on a scale before loading.
