The Hornady Custom Grade Full-Length 2-Die Set for 308 Marlin Express (.308) gives hand-loaders a precision-machined pair of tools built to SAAMI minimum specifications. The Full-Length Size Die features Hornady's Elliptical Expander, which sizes case necks more smoothly than traditional ball expanders, reducing friction and case neck stretch while its internal threading prevents the expander from pulling loose. Mated to the Elliptical Expander is the Zip Spindle, which positively locks to prevent slippage; light threads on the spindle allow fine incremental adjustments or a quick zip up and down for coarser movement. The Seating Die includes Hornady's In-line Bullet Seating System, which holds bullet, case neck and seating stem in perfect alignment within a floating sleeve before the bullet enters the case neck — delivering consistent seating depth and improved accuracy. A built-in roll crimp facility means no separate crimp die is required. Both dies are fitted with Sure-Loc lock rings that clamp around the entire die body for rock-solid retention without damaging threads. The set is supplied in a stackable storage box and uses 7/8 inch-14 thread, compatible with all standard reloading presses. No shell holder is included.
