The Hornady Full-Length Size Die for .221 Remington Fireball resizes cartridge cases to SAAMI minimum specifications, giving reloaders consistent headspace and reliable chamber fit every time. At its heart is Hornady's Elliptical Expander — a design that outperforms conventional ball expanders by delivering smoother neck sizing while significantly reducing friction and case neck stretch. Internal threading locks the expander in place and, where required, it eliminates the need for a separate expander die when necking up to the next calibre. The die's internal profile is precision machined and mirror-polished, so cases run through without sticking or excessive drag. Adjustment is handled by the Zip Spindle, which uses fine threads for precise incremental changes and can be zipped rapidly along its travel for coarser moves, then locked absolutely rigid to prevent slippage during a run.
