The Hornady Full-Length Size Die for 6.5x55 Swedish (.264) is a precision reloading tool that sizes fired cartridge cases back to SAAMI minimum specifications, restoring reliable chamber fit for the next reload. At the heart of the die is Hornady's Elliptical Expander, which delivers noticeably smoother neck sizing than conventional ball expanders while significantly reducing friction and case neck stretch — extending case life and improving neck tension consistency. The headed decap pin and Elliptical Expander are mounted to a Zip Spindle, which locks positively to eliminate slippage; a series of fine threads on the spindle and spindle lock allow precise incremental adjustments, or the spindle can be zipped quickly up or down for coarser movement. The internal die profile is precision machined and polished to a mirror finish, preventing case sticking without the need for excessive lubricant. The included Sure-Loc lock ring clamps around the full die body to hold the ring under constant, even pressure; the locking screw contacts the die body, not the threads, protecting them from wear.
