The Hornady Neck Size Die for 6.5mm (.264) calibre is a precision reloading tool machined to exacting tolerances for bolt-action and single-shot rifle reloaders. Neck sizing rather than full-length sizing preserves fireformed brass, extending case life and maintaining optimal headspace for the rifle the cases were fired in. The die features Hornady's removable Elliptical Expander, purpose-designed to outperform conventional ball expanders by delivering smoother neck sizing with significantly reduced friction and case neck stretch. Internal threading locks the expander securely in place and also removes the need for a separate expander die when necking up to the next calibre. The Elliptical Expander and hardened steel Headed Decap Pin are mated to a Zip Spindle that positively locks against slippage; a series of fine threads allows precise incremental adjustment or fast coarse movement by zipping the spindle up or down. The included Sure-Loc lock ring clamps around the full die body for consistent, repeatable die settings. Uses the standard 7/8-14 inch thread found on all common reloading presses.
