The Hornady Seater Die for .284 / 7mm (supplied with seating stem 147) is a precision bullet seating die for handloading .284 calibre rifle cartridges. The In-line Bullet Seating System holds the bullet, the case neck and the seating stem in perfect alignment within a floating sleeve before the bullet enters the case neck — the key to consistent seating depth and the accuracy gains that flow from it. The alignment sleeve is included as standard. A built-in roll crimper removes the need for a separate crimp die and saves a step in the loading process. The Sure-Loc lock ring clamps the full body of the die with steady, even pressure; the locking screw tightens without contacting the die threads, protecting both the ring and the thread form during repeated adjustments. Integrated wrench flats allow the die to be fitted or removed cleanly without risk of pliers damage. A retainer ring near the base comes away in seconds for disassembly and cleaning. Thread is the standard 7/8"-14, fitting any press that accepts standard dies. Shell holder is not included.
