The Hornady Taper Crimp Seater Die for 10mm Auto and .40 S&W combines bullet seating and taper crimping into a single operation, removing the need for a separate taper crimp die. The Taper Crimp Adjustment Screw lets you dial in exactly the right amount of crimp without disturbing bullet seating depth or loosening the lock ring, giving precise, repeatable results at the press. Central to the design is the In-line Bullet Seating System, which holds the bullet, case neck and seating stem in perfect alignment within a floating sleeve before the bullet enters the case neck — a feature that promotes consistent seating depth and improved accuracy. An alignment sleeve is included as standard. The die ships with Hornady's Sure-Loc lock ring, which clamps around the full die body to hold it firmly in place; the locking screw tightens against the die body rather than the threads, and integrated wrench flats make removal straightforward.
