Sierra MatchKing .22 calibre (.224") 80 grain Hollow Point Boat Tail bullets are a reloading component for handloaders, supplied in a bulk box of 500 — this is not loaded ammunition. Drawn with very thin jackets to exacting tolerances on diameter and weight, the small meplat gives these bullets a higher ballistic coefficient, and MatchKing bullets have a long-standing reputation for winning more target competitions than any other maker's match bullets combined. The 80 grain MatchKing was developed for Service Rifle competition use in the M16/AR-15 family, though its extreme length means it must be seated to an overall length that requires single loading rather than feeding from a magazine. Sierra recommends a barrel twist of 1 in 8" or faster to stabilise this bullet properly. Supplied by BushWear for UK reloaders building precision match ammunition at home.
