Sierra's Sports Master 140 grain Jacketed Hollow Point is a .357in diameter, flat-base handgun bullet built for handloaders reloading .38 Special and .357 Magnum. The Power Jacket design uses serrated skiving and a purpose-built cavity to give consistent, rapid expansion across a wide range of velocities, with good weight retention and strong energy transfer on impact. A cannelure allows secure crimping in revolver and rifle cartridges chambered for these calibres. With a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.155 and a sectional density of 0.157, this heavier bullet carries more authority downrange than the 125 grain option in the same range, suiting handloaders working up loads for varmints through medium-sized game as well as target and silhouette work. This is a bullet head for handloading, not loaded ammunition — supplied without primer, powder or case for use by competent reloaders working to safe, published load data. Each box holds 100 non-coated bullets ready for the reloading bench.
