Eley Tenex is widely regarded as the world's most consistently accurate .22LR cartridge, and it remains the cartridge of choice for serious competition target shooters. Each round carries a 40 grain (2.59g) flat-nose lead bullet, a profile pioneered by Eley that draws the centre of pressure forward to stabilise the bullet aerodynamically and sharpen accuracy at the target. Cartridge cases are formed to a uniform length from a tightly controlled brass alloy, so every propellant charge burns in a consistent volume and delivers repeatable energy shot after shot. Mean velocity runs between 1040 and 1085 ft/s (317-330 m/s), and a beeswax-tallow lubricant ensures smooth chambering and clean barrel protection. Every cartridge is checked by computer-controlled visual inspection and calibrated measuring equipment before it earns the Tenex name. For genuine match precision, test your barrel against the ammunition, as the right pairing can make the decisive difference on the firing line. Supplied in a box of 50 with Eley's draw-mechanism packaging for easy loading. A firearms certificate is required to purchase.
