The Hooyman 10 ft Extendable Tree Saw (model 1002) is a hand-powered pole saw built for the jobs every stalker and deer manager knows well: opening up shooting lanes, tidying branches around high seats and clearing the approach to a stand without dragging a ladder into the wood. The MegaBite blade is high-carbon SK5 steel in a tapered design, with impulse-hardened four-edge teeth that cut fast and stay sharp through season after season of use. The pole itself is rigid I-beam aluminium with an in-line design and a positive locking extension system, so the saw stays stable and controllable even at the full 10 ft reach. When the work is done, the lock-back blade folds down at the touch of a finger and the whole saw collapses to just 28 inches, small enough to ride in a pack or behind the truck seat. The folding saw also slides out of the extension arm, giving you a handy standalone handsaw for close work. Hooyman makes the same saw in 5 ft and 16 ft versions if your ground demands a different reach.
