The Hawke Sidewinder Thread Adaptor (PRE-2015) Ocular is a straightforward solution for owners of pre-2015 Hawke Sidewinder riflescopes who want to use the current range of Hawke Metal Flip-Up Covers and Honeycomb Sunshade accessories. Pre-2015 Sidewinder scopes left the factory with a different eyepiece thread to the later models, which means current accessories do not fit directly. This adaptor screws into the ocular (eyepiece) end of the scope and presents a female thread that matches the new-style accessories — so you can swap from the original screw-in metal caps to the more convenient metal flip-up covers without replacing the scope. It is a genuine Hawke part, designed specifically for this fitment, and installs without tools in seconds. If you have a post-2015 Sidewinder, this adaptor is not required; check your scope's manufacture date before ordering.
