The Hawke 44mm objective sunshade is a threaded metal tube that mounts to the objective bell of compatible Hawke riflescopes, reducing glare and cutting internal reflections in bright shooting conditions. When the sun is low — whether at dawn during a deer stalk or across open ground on a driven day — light entering the objective at an angle can cause internal scatter that washes out the reticle and reduces image contrast. A sunshade addresses this directly and can be fitted or removed in seconds without tools. Measuring 4 inches (100mm) in length, it provides a useful amount of shade for the 44mm objective size. The shade is threaded at both ends, allowing additional shades to be stacked for a longer hood when required, or Hawke flip-up lens covers to be fitted to the front thread to protect the glass when on the move. Compatible with Hawke's 2015 collection onwards.
