This is Leupold's steel Standard (STD) two-piece scope base, machined to fit the Tikka T3 and T3x receiver and finished in low-glare matte black. The STD system is among the most versatile mounting setups Leupold makes, and it pairs with STD rings (sold separately) to carry your scope. The rear of the mount is secured by opposing windage screws, so you can dial out a fair amount of lateral error during bore-sighting and keep the scope's internal windage adjustment in reserve for fine sight-in. Shims can be added under the rings for gross elevation changes, leaving the scope's elevation turret free for bullet-drop compensation. Made from steel rather than alloy, it suits standard calibres up to .300 Win Mag, making it a sound, no-nonsense choice for a stalking or deer rifle built on the Tikka action. It mounts with a base-to-receiver screw torque of 22 in-lbs and windage screws torqued to 45 in-lbs, and like all Leupold mounts it carries the firm's lifetime guarantee. Made in the USA.
