The Britannia Rail for the CZ 527 is a one-piece MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny scope base, CNC-machined in Great Britain from aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminium and finished with a hard-anodised coating for a scratch-resistant, weatherproof surface. Rather than bolting into flat receiver holes, it locks onto the CZ 527's integral 15mm dovetail: eight grub screws pull the rail up and clamp it firmly in place, converting the rifle's factory dovetail into a true Picatinny top rail. This version carries a 20 MOA taper built into the rail, adding extra elevation adjustment at the scope's turret so it doesn't run out of clicks on longer shots. The rail measures 184mm, and Britannia Rails note that this standard rail is not intended for the CZ 527's BRNO Fox variant, which needs their extended CZ 527 rail instead. Once fitted, it accepts any Picatinny or Weaver-compatible ring, mount or base, giving a secure, repeatable platform for a riflescope, red dot or night-vision/thermal unit.
