The true Picatinny profile takes any standard Picatinny/Weaver ring, red dot sight or thermal/night-vision mount. This version carries a 20 MOA built-in forward taper, adding useful extra elevation adjustment over a flat rail — handy for stretching a scope's usable range on longer shots and for getting more elevation headroom out of the same optic. It drops straight onto the Howa 1500's existing pre-drilled receiver holes, with four 6-48 fitting screws and a T15 hex bit supplied — no gunsmithing needed. Overall length is 149mm, giving a firm, close-coupled lock onto the action.
