The Remington 700 Short Action has been a mainstay of UK stalking and target rifles for decades, and this Britannia Rails Picatinny base is built to put a scope on it properly. Machined from 6061-T6 aluminium and finished hard anodised, the rail is made to true mil-spec Picatinny dimensions so it locks firmly onto the action and gives a scope mount a solid, repeatable base. It carries 20 MOA of built-in forward cant, pre-loading elevation into the mount so long-range shooters have the scope's internal adjustment in hand for extended-range zeroing rather than running out of clicks partway there. At 149mm it covers the Remington 700 short action footprint, and it arrives with everything needed to fit it: four 6-48 screws with a T15 hex bit, plus Vibra-Tite anti-vibration threadlock and a T15 Torx key so the rail stays put under recoil. A straightforward, well-made upgrade for anyone mounting a scope, night vision or thermal unit on a Remington 700 short action rifle.
