The Britannia Rails Ruger M77 Short Action rail is a UK-made Picatinny base built to replace the M77's factory dovetail with a full-spec MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny top rail. CNC-machined from T6 aircraft-grade aluminium and finished in hard-anodised black, it's cut to the correct 174mm length and mounted at 0 MOA, giving a flat, level platform rather than the forward cant used for extreme long-range work. Because it's true Picatinny spec rather than the M77's own dovetail, it opens up the entire Picatinny accessory market — day scopes, red dots, night-vision and thermal add-ons — that the factory rail can't take. It's sized specifically to the M77 short-action receiver footprint, so it seats correctly without packing or filing. Fitting is straightforward: it screws directly to the top of the action using the supplied screws and hex key, with Vibra-Tite thread-lock included to stop the fixings working loose under recoil. Torque to the rifle manufacturer's recommended setting — no more than 1.5Nm/14in-lb — rather than over-tightening. No gunsmithing is needed.
