The Britannia Rails Ruger M77 Short Action rail in silver is the same UK-made Picatinny base as the black version, finished in silver rather than the standard black for owners who'd rather it matched a stainless or nickel-finished rifle. CNC-machined from T6 aircraft-grade aluminium, it's cut to the correct 174mm length for the M77 short action and mounted at 0 MOA, a flat platform rather than a forward-canted long-range rail. Built to true MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny spec, it replaces the M77's factory dovetail with a rail that takes the full range of Picatinny scope mounts, red dots, night-vision and thermal add-ons the dovetail can't. It's sized specifically to the M77 short-action receiver, so it seats correctly without packing or filing. It screws straight to the top of the action using the supplied screws and hex key, with Vibra-Tite thread-lock included to keep the fixings tight under recoil. Torque to the rifle manufacturer's recommended setting rather than over-tightening. No gunsmithing required.
