The Britannia Rails Sako 75/85 rail is a UK-made Picatinny base designed specifically for the Action I size on the Sako 75 and the equivalent Action XS size on the Sako 85 — the smallest of Sako's action families, chambered in .222 Remington and .223 Remington. Rather than replacing the rifle's factory mounting, it fits directly over the existing Optilock base, so there's no need to remove Sako's own dovetail; it simply gives you a proper MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny top rail in place of it. CNC-machined from T6 aircraft-grade aluminium and finished in hard-anodised black, it's cut to 149mm and mounted at 0 MOA — a flat, level platform rather than a forward-canted long-range rail. Fitting true Picatinny spec opens up the full range of Picatinny scope mounts, red dots, night-vision and thermal add-ons that Sako's own bases and rings can't take. It comes with the fitting screws, hex key and Vibra-Tite thread-lock needed to fit it securely and keep it tight under recoil, and no gunsmithing is required — it's a straightforward bolt-on over the existing Optilock base.
