Britannia Rails' Gen II Extended Picatinny rail is built for the right-handed Tikka 595 and 590 action, and also fits the Tikka 558. The extended profile projects forward of the action, giving the extra rail length that's particularly useful when mounting a night-vision or thermal add-on ahead of a day scope, or when a longer riflescope needs more room to slide for correct eye relief. It bolts directly to the factory action-top holes, so there's no drilling or machining involved, and it's supplied with Vibra-Tite anti-vibration thread-locking compound included in the box, so the fixing screws stay put under recoil rather than working loose over time. As with the rest of Britannia's Gen II range, it's an aluminium rail built to a genuine Picatinny profile, so it accepts standard Picatinny scope rings, mounts and add-on devices with no adapter needed. A straightforward way to gain extra forward mounting space on a Tikka 595, 590 or 558 rifle without swapping the factory action or bases.
