Britannia Rails' Universal Standard Length Picatinny Rail is a centrefire scope-mounting rail designed to fit directly over an existing two-piece Weaver or Picatinny base, turning separate mounting points into one continuous length of rail around 150mm long. It suits rifles where only a two-piece base is fitted, giving a single Picatinny top that accepts any standard Weaver or Picatinny ring set and allows the rings to be positioned and adjusted along its length rather than fixed to two separate points. Machined in the UK from aircraft-grade aluminium to tight CNC tolerances, it is supplied with fitting screws so it is ready to fit straight from the box. Unlike Britannia's reversible extended-length rail, this is the standard fixed-length option — a straightforward way to convert a centrefire rifle's two-piece base into a proper length of Picatinny rail for mounting a day scope, night-vision unit or other Picatinny-footed accessory, without needing a gunsmith or replacement bases.
