This Picatinny base from Britannia Rails is built to fit the Weihrauch HW60 and HW66 actions in .22LR, .17HMR and .22 Hornet, converting the rifle's factory rail so it can take a full range of Picatinny-mount optics. Machined from 6061-T6 aluminium with a hard anodised finish, it is an extended-length rail, giving enough real estate to run a night vision or thermal add-on ahead of a standard day scope and quickly swap between the two — useful on a rimfire rig used for both daylight vermin control and after-dark work. It carries 0 MOA, so it adds no built-in elevation cant. Made to true MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny spec, it locks firmly onto the rifle's action with none of the sideways slide you get on a dovetail rail. Fitting is with four 6-48 screws and a T15 hex bit, both supplied, along with a sachet of Vibra-Tite VC-3 anti-vibration threadlock to keep the fixing screws locked up under recoil — useful on a rail that will see repeated remove-and-refit cycles as optics are swapped.
