The Vortex Precision Extended Cantilever Mount is a one-piece scope mount built for 30mm tube riflescopes, with a 20 MOA elevation cant machined directly into the base. That built-in slope gives long-range shooters extra elevation adjustment in the turret before running out of travel, useful once you're stretching a zero out past 800 yards. The cantilever design projects the rings forward of the rail, positioning the scope for correct eye relief and head placement on rifles where the receiver leaves little room to mount conventionally. It centres the scope tube at 1.574in (40mm) above the base and fits standard Picatinny/Weaver rails. Machined from 7075-T6 aluminium and finished in a low-glare Type III matte black anodised coat, the mount is horizontally split for straightforward fitting and uses Grade 8 fasteners throughout, torqued to 45-50 in-lbs at the base and 15-18 in-lbs on the ring caps. At 227g (8oz), it adds very little weight to the rifle. Covered by Vortex's VIP lifetime warranty.
