The Vortex Precision Matched 30mm Ring Set, High is a pair of scope rings machined from certified USA 7075-T6 billet aluminium and held to a tolerance of .0005 inches on a precision CNC mill. The rings are kept together as a serialised pair throughout manufacture, then vibratory tumbled, bead blasted and finished in a Type III hard coat anodise for a durable, rugged and anti-snag matte finish. Built for a 30mm scope tube, the high mounting height sets the scope at a 1.45 inch (36.8mm) centre height, giving clearance for larger objective lenses over the barrel, and the rings mount to Picatinny-spec rails only. Grade 8 fasteners secure the rings to the rail and the scope, torqued to 45-50 in/lbs on the base clamp screws and 15-18 in/lbs on the ring screws for a reliable, zero-shift hold under recoil. At 75 grams (2.6oz) for the pair, they add minimal weight to the rifle.
