The Vortex Precision Matched Ring Set for 1 inch scope tubes, Low height, is a pair of scope rings machined from certified USA 7075-T6 billet aluminium and held to a tolerance of .0005 inches on a precision CNC mill. The rings are kept together as a serialised pair throughout manufacture, then vibratory tumbled, bead blasted and finished in a Type III hard coat anodise for a durable, rugged and anti-snag matte finish. Built for a 1 inch scope tube, the low mounting height sets the scope at a 0.97 inch (24.64mm) centre height for a close cheek weld, and — unlike Vortex's Picatinny-only ring sets — these mount to both Weaver and Picatinny-spec rails. Grade 8 fasteners secure the rings to the rail and the scope, torqued to 45-50 in/lbs on the base clamp screws and 15-18 in/lbs on the ring screws for a reliable, zero-shift hold under recoil. At 65 grams (2.3oz) for the pair, they add minimal weight to the rifle.
