The Vortex Pro Extended Cantilever Mount is a one-piece 34mm scope mount built to get a rifle's optic set at the correct height and forward position in one move, without stacking separate rings and a base. Machined from 6061 aluminium and finished in Type 2 low-glare matte black anodising, it is horizontally split for straightforward fitting and removal, and clamps to a Picatinny rail using 1/2" hex bolts for a secure, repeatable hold. The design gives a 2" forward offset and a 1.44" centre scope height, positioning a 34mm-tube riflescope for correct eye relief without the trial and error of mixing rings and bases. Recommended torque is 30 in-lbs on the base clamp screws and 15-18 in-lbs on the ring screws, so the mount can be fitted with a standard torque wrench and set once. It is a straightforward, no-frills way to get a 34mm scope mounted true and secure on a Picatinny-railed rifle, and suits anyone upgrading from separate rings and base to a single, more rigid unit.
