This Vortex Tactical 30mm ring is supplied as a single unit, so order two for a complete matching pair. Machined from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminium, it uses a robust six-screw clamp design to mount 30mm-tube optics — red dot sights, magnifiers and other accessories — directly to a Picatinny rail. This is the Low option, setting the optic's centreline at just 0.83in (21.0mm) above the rail, the lowest mount in the Tactical range for the closest possible sight picture. The ring measures 2.4-2.6in (62-66mm) outside diameter and weighs 6.7oz. If it's used to mount a conventional riflescope rather than a red dot or magnifier, Vortex recommend lapping the rings first for a proper, secure and mark-free fit. Simple, solidly built and a straightforward way to add or raise an optic on any Picatinny-equipped rifle or carbine.
