The Warne Maxima M902/830M is a two-piece steel scope base set built for Mauser-pattern bolt-action rifles, including the Parker Hale 1000, 1000C, 1100 and 1200 actions long used across UK stalking and target rifles. CNC-machined from solid steel rather than cast alloy, the bases are modelled on the Weaver pattern and finished in matte black for a low-profile look that keeps the rifle's lines clean. Each base carries a full-width recoil slot, giving the recoil-control keys on Warne rings maximum bearing surface under heavy recoil – a genuine strength advantage over lighter alloy mounts. When paired with Warne's Maxima QD rings (sold separately), the low profile lets the shooter look straight over the top of the mount to use the rifle's open sights without breaking the normal shooting position, with the quick-detach levers returning the scope to zero on and off. As well as Parker Hale actions, the M902/830M base set fits Mauser FN Commercial 98 and M98 Altered actions, Musgrave MK III and MK IV, Interarms Mark X and Viscount, Charles Daly Mauser, CIL 972C and Colt 57. Supplied complete with the 6-48 mounting screws needed to fit them to the receiver.
