The Warne Maxima M824/824M is a two-piece steel scope base built to fit Anschutz rifles (all drilled-and-tapped models), Browning T-Bolt, Savage Model 93 and Savage Mark II actions. Modelled on the Weaver pattern, one of the strongest and most widely used base designs, the Maxima's steel construction and low profile give a secure, sleek mounting platform without adding bulk to the action. Each base carries a full width and depth recoil slot, so Warne ring recoil keys get maximum bearing surface and a positive lock against recoil. Paired with Warne Maxima QD rings, the low profile lets you look straight over the top of the bases to use iron sights when the scope and rings are removed, rather than having to strip the whole setup. Bases are secured with Torx-style T-15 socket cap screws on a 6-48 thread; Warne recommends torquing to 25 in/lb. Supplied as a matte black, made-in-USA two-piece set, this is a straightforward, proven base for anyone mounting a scope on a rimfire Anschutz, Savage or Browning T-Bolt action who wants the option of falling back on open sights.
