The Warne Maxima M858/918M is a two-piece steel scope base built specifically to fit the Ruger 10/22, giving stalkers and rimfire shooters a solid, no-nonsense mounting platform for a scope. Modelled on the Weaver pattern — one of the most widely used and dependable base systems around — it combines genuine steel strength with a low-profile design that keeps the rifle's lines clean and, crucially, still allows use of the iron sights once the optic is taken off. Each base carries a full-width, full-depth recoil slot, giving the recoil control key on a matching set of Warne rings maximum bearing surface so the mount stays locked solid under repeated firing. Paired with Warne's Maxima QD rings, the low profile lets the shooter look straight over the top of the base to use open sights without disturbing the normal cheek weld and shooting position. The bases are secured to the receiver with Torx-style T-15 socket cap screws, torqued to the recommended 25 in/lb. Precision manufactured to tight tolerances and finished in matte black, the Maxima base is backed by Warne's lifetime warranty.
