Smith's Jiffy-Pro Handheld Sharpener is a two-stage pull-through sharpener built for quick fixes in the field, at camp or in the kitchen. The first slot uses crossed coarse carbide blades to set a new edge on a dull or damaged blade, and the second uses crossed extra-fine (1,500-grit) ceramic rods to hone that edge to a fine finish — both fixed at a preset angle, so results are consistent every time with no need to judge the angle by eye. Built into the handle is a patented scissors sharpener with an enlarged slot sized for game, hunting and fishing shears as well as ordinary scissors, sharpening both right- and left-handed blades via a floating carbide rod that adjusts to the exact bevel. A full-length finger and thumb guard and a soft-grip rubber handle keep it comfortable and safe to use in wet or cold conditions, and its compact size clips easily to a belt or backpack for the field. It's for straight, flat-ground edges — not serrated blades or single-bevel grinds.
