The A-Tec H3 is the current generation of Norwegian-engineered rifle sound moderators from the Hertz series, replacing the well-established H2. Built for hunting rifles, it uses a modular design that can be assembled as a 1-, 2- or full 3-module unit, letting you choose between a more compact, lighter configuration or the maximum attenuation of the full three-module build. The thread interface and diffusor are manufactured in stainless steel, while the modules themselves are formed from aluminium. This variant is threaded 5/8x24 UNEF — an imperial thread specification widely used on AR-platform rifles and certain American-spec hunting barrels. Suitable for .30 calibre cartridges including .308 Winchester and .30-06, the H3 is also rated for calibres between .224 and .458, covering a broad spectrum of hunting applications from fox and roe through to red deer and larger quarry. Sound moderators are classified as Section 1 firearms in England, Wales and Scotland; a valid FAC variation is required to purchase and possess one.
