Waders

    Filter

Two kinds of wader live on this page: safety waders for work in water, and fishery waders for long days wading rivers, lochs and estuaries.

      • Amblers Safety: the Tyne and Danube chest waders and the Rhone and Forth thigh waders, built to EN ISO 20345 S5 SRA. The Tyne has a steel toe cap and steel penetration-resistant midsole, for fishery work, flood and water-authority jobs, and anywhere the bottom may hide something sharp.
      • Dikamar Administrator: PVC-coated chest and thigh waders with a textile lining, made for anglers and fishery staff.

      Chest or thigh?

Thigh waders cover burns, pond margins and retrieving decoys in shallow water. Chest waders are for deeper water and for kneeling or sitting on wet ground. Wear a wading belt with chest waders, and treat soft estuary mud with respect.

For wellingtons see Wellington Boots; for safety boots see Safety Boots and Amblers Safety; for decoys see Decoys. Patch kits for boots and waders are under Stormsure.
