The Amblers Safety Danube is a full-length PVC chest wader with a built-in safety boot, developed for fishery work and other wet trades where standard waders won't do. The integrated boot carries a steel toe cap and steel midsole, certified to EN ISO 20345:2011 at S5 SRA — full protection against impact, compression and penetration, plus slip resistance on wet, oily or detergent-covered surfaces. The 100% waterproof PVC upper has a reinforced knee and stands up to oils, fats, acids and organic solvents, so it copes with slurry, fish waste and cleaning chemicals as well as river water. The sole is antistatic, the heel is energy-absorbing, and front, ankle and heel deflector panels guard against falling objects. Amblers rate the wader down to -20°C, and the inner lining is mesh and polyester for comfort over a long day on the water. Sold in UK sizes 4 to 13, the Danube suits fishery bailiffs, river keepers, ghillies and anyone working waist-deep in cold water who needs proper foot protection built into the wader rather than bolted on afterwards.
