CCI Velocitor is a hyper-velocity .22 Long Rifle load built for cleaner kills on rabbits, squirrels and other small game out to sensible rimfire ranges. The 40-grain copper-plated hollow point leaves the muzzle at 1,435 ft/sec, around 200 ft/sec faster than standard .22 LR high-velocity loads of the same bullet weight, which flattens trajectory and puts more energy on target downrange. Its hollow-point cavity is derived from Speer Gold Dot technology, so the bullet expands reliably while retaining close to its full weight for deep, consistent penetration. CCI quotes 183 ft-lb of energy at the muzzle and 104 ft-lb at 100 yards, giving Velocitor noticeably more retained energy than regular high-speed hollow points. Clean-burning propellant and dependable CCI priming keep semi-automatic and bolt-action rimfire actions running cleanly shot after shot. Each round measures a ballistic coefficient of .125 and is supplied in a reusable plastic box with a flip-top dispenser lid, making it easy to load from a pocket or pack in the field.
