The Beretta BRX1 is a straight-pull, linear-reloading rifle chambered in .308 Winchester, built by Beretta using bolt-action engineering drawn from its military and civilian rifle experience. Rather than a conventional rotating bolt, the BRX1 cycles on a straight pull of the bolt handle, keeping your eye on target and speeding up follow-up shots. The bolt locks via an 8-lug head (16 lugs on magnum-calibre variants), a design taken directly from Beretta's military-pattern actions for secure, repeatable lock-up. Everything on the rifle is genuinely ambidextrous: the bolt handle, safety and cartridge ejection can all be switched from right- to left-handed configuration without tools, and the same action accepts interchangeable barrels across the BRX1 calibre range. A three-position thumb safety runs from fire-and-reload through to a fully locked bolt and trigger, and the single-stage trigger is user-adjustable across three weights between 950g and 1.5kg. Ammunition feeds from a detachable 5-round magazine in high-visibility orange polymer with a double-release button, while the barrel carries an M14 thread with a 16mm profile and thread protector, ready to take a moderator.
