The Decoy Buck Trophy Plate is a decorative wooden shield for mounting and displaying a cut roe buck trophy on the wall. It is made from 100% FSC-certified oak finished in a dark wood stain, giving the warm, traditional backing that suits a set of roe antlers in the trophy room, gun room or hallway. The 20 x 13 cm size is cut to take a roe skull where the trophy has been cut through the eye socket, the most common cut for a roe buck. Mounting is straightforward: the skull fixing sits inside the brain cavity with the longer end towards the nose, the shorter section rests against the shield, and you mark, drill and bolt the trophy from the rear so the front face stays clean. If your cut runs lower, just above the top teeth, a larger plate is the better choice. A simple, honest way to preserve a memorable stalk and present a hard-won roe buck the way it deserves.
