The Mil-Com Compass on Lanyard is a compact, lightweight field compass built for straightforward navigation when you are out on the hill. The black-bodied housing measures roughly 5cm in diameter, so it slips easily into a jacket pocket, pack lid or pouch, and the circular face carries clear degree indications around the bezel for taking and following a bearing. A neck lanyard comes supplied, letting you wear the compass around your neck or clip it to a rucksack so it stays to hand and is far less likely to go astray on a long day out. It is an easy-to-read, no-nonsense unit that suits walkers, stalkers and anyone learning to navigate, and it makes a sensible back-up to a primary compass or GPS when working unfamiliar deer ground, forestry blocks or open moorland. Practical, pocketable and ready to go, it is a useful addition to any navigation kit, cadet pack or outdoor training set-up. Supplied clam-packed.
