The HIKMICRO Stellar Pro SQ50 is a flagship thermal riflescope built into a conventional 30mm tube chassis, so it mounts in standard scope rings and keeps the balance and eye relief of a normal riflescope rather than an add-on unit. At its core is a 640x512, 12 micron thermal sensor with sub-35mK NETD, paired with a 50mm F1.0 lens for a detection range out to 2600m. Base magnification is 2.25x, extending to 18x with digital zoom, and the image is shown on a 1024x768 OLED display at 50Hz with a choice of four colour palettes — Black Hot, White Hot, Red Hot and Fusion. Two internal rechargeable batteries give around 13 hours of running time, with a removable CR123A cell as an emergency backup for an extra hour, and a USB-C port under the windage cap for charging or a power bank. Zeroing is simplified with freeze-frame setup and five stored profiles for multiple rifles, while 64GB of onboard storage, recoil-activated recording and built-in Wi-Fi to the HIKMICRO Sight app let you capture, stream and control a shoot from a phone or tablet.
