The Hornady InterLock 30 Cal 150 grain Spire Point is a .308" diameter component bullet for reloaders building their own .308 Winchester, .30-06 Springfield and other .30 calibre cartridges. It is a projectile only, not loaded ammunition. The exposed soft-point lead tip gives controlled, reliable expansion, while Hornady's InterLock ring, a raised band inside the jacket that bites into the core, keeps the jacket and core locked together as the bullet opens. That holds mass and energy together for deep penetration and large, consistent wound channels. A tapered jacket and inner grooves manage expansion across a range of velocities, and the cannelure allows a secure, repeatable crimp. The secant ogive profile keeps drag low for a flat trajectory and dependable accuracy in the field. With a sectional density of .226 and a G1 ballistic coefficient of .338, it is a sound, fairly priced choice for deer stalking and other medium to large game where a tough, predictable hunting bullet matters.
