These are Hornady SST bullet heads in 6.5mm (.264in) diameter, weighing 123 grains, sold as component projectiles for handloading rather than loaded ammunition. The grain weight and seating profile are matched to the shorter-throated 6.5 Grendel, .264 LBC and 6.5 Lapua cases, making them a sensible choice for reloaders feeding those chamberings. The SST, or Super Shock Tip, uses a hard polymer tip that drives into the lead core on impact to start fast, controlled expansion, while the secant ogive and boat-tail base give a flatter trajectory and steadier flight downrange. A mid-body cannelure lets you apply a consistent crimp during loading, and Hornady's InterLock ring mechanically ties the core to the jacket so the bullet holds together and retains weight as it expands. It is a capable hunting bullet for deer-sized quarry and works equally well for range and load-development work. Supplied in a box of 100.
