These are Hornady ELD Match component bullets in 6mm, .243in diameter and 108 grains, supplied as projectiles only for home reloading rather than as loaded ammunition. The ELD (Extremely Low Drag) Match design pairs a streamlined secant ogive and boat-tail with the polymer Heat Shield tip, which resists aerodynamic heating and holds its meplat for a consistent, repeatable shape across the whole box. A precision-swaged lead core and concentric AMP jacket keep weight and wall thickness uniform from bullet to bullet, which is what drives the tight, predictable groups these heads are known for at extended range. The high ballistic coefficient flattens trajectory and reduces wind drift, making the 108gr a popular choice for 6mm target loads, long-range competition and accuracy-focused .243 stalking handloads. They suit fast-twist 6mm and .243 barrels that can stabilise the longer, heavier projectile. Reloaders pair them with their own brass, primers and powder to develop a load tuned to their rifle.
