The Hornady Shell Plate #32 is a machined rotating plate for the Hornady Lock-N-Load AP progressive press and the Hornady Projector press. It is the component that holds and indexes cartridge cases through the press's stations — sizing, depriming, repriming, powder charging, bullet seating and crimping — delivering each case to the correct tool head with every press cycle. Hornady machines a subtle radius into each shell holder mouth so that cases enter the plate cleanly and eject without binding or marking the case head, which is especially important when cycling brass at the pace a progressive press demands. The spring-loaded case retainer is engineered to stay in place as cases are loaded into the plate, keeping the plate consistently filled and the reloading process moving without interruption. Shell Plate #32 is sized for the case-head diameter of a specific group of calibres — consult Hornady's shell plate selection chart to confirm which cartridges Plate #32 covers before ordering. One plate typically serves several calibres sharing the same case-head dimensions. Custom plates are also available from Hornady for unusual or non-standard chamberings. Sold individually.
