The Leofoto BV-20 is Leofoto's larger pro fluid head, built for heavier camera rigs, big telephoto lenses and large spotting scopes where smooth, controlled movement really matters. It has a continuous counterbalance system covering 0 to 4kg, plus drag control on both pan and tilt, so a front-heavy set-up moves evenly and stays put when you let go. The head pans 360 degrees and tilts from plus 90 to minus 75 degrees, with individual pan and tilt locks. The lever-release clamp has an automatic locking system to help stop equipment falling out, and it takes the supplied 130mm Arca-compatible plate, which carries both 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch mounting threads and gives plenty of room for balancing. The camera platform is indexed, two bubble levels help with levelling, and the included pan handle can be fitted to either side. Rated to 15kg and weighing around 2kg, with a 75mm base and 3/8 inch mounting socket, the BV-20 suits wildlife filmmakers and photographers using long lenses from hides or vehicles, and birders who want a steady, smooth-moving platform for a heavy scope on a solid tripod.
