The Leofoto G6 is a heavy-duty geared head for photographers who need precise, repeatable control with larger camera bodies and lenses. Like other Leofoto geared heads, it is designed so the pivot points of the X and Y axes coincide, which keeps the rotation radius small and allows very fine adjustments without the composition drifting. Finely cut gears give small, controlled steps in each direction, which is especially useful for architectural, macro and studio work where a fraction of a degree matters. The 69mm panning base gives smooth 360 degree rotation for panoramic sequences, and the screw-knob panning clamp on top is Arca-Swiss compatible, taking standard Arca plates and lens feet. A 3/8 inch mounting hole fits most tripods. Despite a maximum load rating of 30kg, the G6 weighs around 0.9kg and stands about 97mm tall, so it remains compact for a head of its capacity. It suits landscape and architectural photographers working from a solid tripod, and anyone who wants geared precision with a heavier camera and lens combination than the smaller G-series heads are intended for.
