The Leofoto LB-60N is a 60mm half-ball levelling base that sits between your tripod and head, so you can level the platform in seconds instead of adjusting individual legs. It gives +/-15 degrees of adjustment and locks firmly with a twist of the large butterfly handle at the base of the ball. A 3/8"-16 socket underneath mounts it on any tripod with a 3/8" stud, and the 3/8"-16 top stud takes full-size heads, with three anti-twist set screws on the platform securing the head. Machined from aircraft-grade aluminium, it measures 60mm across the top, 53mm at the base and 50mm tall, weighs 206g and is rated to 15kg. It is a practical upgrade for spotting scope users: with the head level, a pan across a hillside or estuary stays on the horizon, which makes following deer or waders far easier. It works equally well under a gimbal or ball head for camera work and panoramas.
