The Leofoto Ranger LS-365C and PG-1 kit pairs a five-section, 36mm carbon fibre tripod with the PG-1 gimbal head, both in black. The legs are 10-layer carbon fibre with CNC-machined, hard-anodised aluminium parts and quarter-turn twist locks, and the no-column design puts the head straight onto the apex for stiffness. Three angle stops (23, 55 and 85 degrees) let you get down low, and the tripod alone reaches 1526mm, folds to 490mm and is rated to 20kg.
The PG-1 gimbal is made from 6061 aluminium and balances a long telephoto lens so it swings and pans freely, then locks at the angle you need. It has a height-adjustable Arca-Swiss style platform, a printed scale for repeatable set-ups, 1/4in accessory sockets, a bubble level and a 25kg rating. A levelling base is not included and can be bought separately. The kit suits wildlife photographers using big lenses, and works equally well for panning a spotting scope on an Arca-type plate. A camouflage version is available to order.
