The Leofoto Manba LV-323C with BV-10 is a sturdy three-section carbon fibre video kit that suits spotting scopes, heavier binoculars and video cameras alike. Its key feature is a built-in hollow ball at the top of the tripod: the centre column can be angled like a ball head, so together with independent leg spread you can level the fluid head in seconds on uneven ground. Flip leg locks make set-up quick, and the removable, reversible centre column plus short column allow low-angle work. The legs are 10-layer Toray carbon fibre (32/28/25mm) with 6061-T6 aluminium parts, three leg stops (23, 55 and 85 degrees), a ballast hook and 3/8in and 1/4in accessory sockets. The kit reaches 1760mm with the column raised or 1354mm with it down, goes down to 220mm, folds to 670mm and weighs 2.4kg. The BV-10 fluid head has a 60mm flat base, 360-degree pan, +90/-75 degree tilt, separate pan and tilt locks, two bubble levels and an Arca-Swiss style clamp. It is rated to 5kg, giving a smooth, controlled platform for following game through a spotting scope or filming wildlife.
