The Leofoto MPQ-404C is a four-section carbon fibre monopod built for long days outdoors in mixed weather. It uses Leofoto's third-generation carbon fibre with a distinctive textured pattern, along with water and sand-resistant twist leg locks, so grit and rain are less of a worry on the hill or the shoreline. Despite weighing only 0.7kg, it is rated to 25kg and extends to 1800mm, making it suitable for supporting a heavy telephoto lens, a spotting scope on a monopod head, or for steadying a camera on long walks. Collapsed, it measures 580mm, so it straps easily to a pack. The 40mm top section gives a solid feel, and the mounting stud converts between 1/4in and 3/8in threads, so it fits most heads, cameras and lens feet. A rubber grip and wrist strap keep it secure in the hand, and the removable rubber foot can be swapped for a separately available spike or claw foot for better traction on soft or icy ground. The twist locks collapse it quickly for packing into the included carrying case. Head not included.
